Angela King Taylor
Director, Student Activities & Greek Affairs

Angela hails from East Chicago, IN.  She received a B.S. in Business Management from Hampton University, which she affectionately refers to as her “Home by the Sea”.  Angela obtained her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Affairs from Old Dominion University.  Angela has held various positions in the areas of human resources, fraternity and sorority life, and academic advising.  She has worked and served at a diverse range of institutions such as the University of Kansas and Tennessee State University.  Angela is passionate about student development and helping students navigate their collegiate journey. Angela is very excited to use her skills and experience to enhance the Loyola student experience and build upon SAGA’s great work.

Leslie Watland
Assistant Director, Student Activities & Greek Affairs

Leslie Watland earned her M.Ed. in Social and Cultural Foundations of Education with a focus in Higher Education from DePaul University and her B.A. in Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. She joined Loyola University Chicago in February 2013 as the Coordinator for Damen Student Center, and joined the SAGA team in June 2014. Previously she served as the Coordinator of Student Engagement at Columbia College Chicago, supporting student organizations and special event programs for over 5 years. At Loyola University Chicago, Leslie supports ((dop)), our student led programming board, and several large scale events sponsored by SAGA.

Katie Lesperance
Coordinator for Sorority & Fraternity Life

Katie Lesperance, originally from Beaver Dam, WI, received her M.Ed in College Student Personnel Administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. While at Marquette, she served as the Graduate Assistant for Greek Life and Student Involvement where she advised the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and supported the National Panhellenic Council, as well as supervised student employees and the daily functions of the Center for Leadership, Service, and Involvement. Katie is also involved as a volunteer for her national organization as a chapter advisor and leadership institute small group facilitator, and volunteers for her county 4-H program. In December of 2010, Katie received her bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in Biology and Chemistry. She is excited to explore Chicago and the great things the city has to offer. Katie enjoys cooking, eating, singing and hiking with her family and dog.  

Brandon Matulka
Student Activity Fund Budget Coordinator

Brandon began his role as the Student Activity Fund Coordinator in October 2013. He received his M.B.A. from Northwest Missouri State University where he also received his B.S. in Business Management and Marketing. Brian Houze 
Coordinator for Recognized Student Organizations

Brian began his role as Coordinator in January 2013. He holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Brian can help you make your student organizations' events become a reality! Contact him if you have questions about contracts, event planning, OrgSync, funding opportunities, or anything else associated with the success of your organizations' events. Brian loves good tunes, the Chicago Bears, and eating his way around the beautiful city of Chicago.

Josh Metayer
Coordinator for Recognized Student Organizations

Joshua Metayer began his role as a Coordinator for RSOs for Development in Student Activities & Greek Affairs (SAGA) in July 2013. He completed both his B.S. in psychology and soon after his M. Ed. at Florida International University in Miami, FL. He is charged with educating the RSO community specifically on policy enforcement, effective student organization management strategies, and advising the Campus Activities Network (CAN) on Loyola's campus. His hobbies include music, fitness activities, and traveling.

Claire Bailey 
Graduate Assistant for Sorority & Fraternity Life

Claire Bailey joins the Fraternity and Sorority Life team from the University of Dayton. Claire is a 2011 graduate from Bowling Green State University. After graduation she traveled on behalf of Alpha Chi Omega as a Chapter Consultant. Claire is currently working as a Regional Programmer at the University of Dayton acting as a volunteer manager between alumni leaders and Alumni Relations. She is looking forward to returning to work with Greek life and calling Chicago her new home.

Kristin Ramey
Graduate Assistant for Recognized Student Organizations

Kristin is thrilled to be joining the Recognized Student Organizations team. She is a 2013 graduate from the University of Louisville in Kentucky, receiving a B.S. in Political Science. Following graduation, Kristin served as a Traveling Leadership Consultant for Sigma Kappa Sorority. She is looking forward to working with students as well as exploring the amazing city of Chicago.

Caroline Chalker 
Graduate Assistant for the Department of Programming

Caroline Chalker began her role as the Graduate Assistant for The Department of Programming in August 2013. She graduated in May 2013 from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Psychology. She is currently in her second year in the Higher Education Administration program here at Loyola. Caroline has worked as an advisor alongside Leslie Watland over the past year to help grow, encourage and support ((dop)), the student led programming board that plans and hosts both large and small scale events for the students at Loyola.
