Colossus is ((dop))’s event with the most hype. Each spring, Loyola students eagerly await laughs constructed by a stand up comedian and a live performance from a well known, musical artist. The comedian and musical segment are split up making back to back nights of can’t miss entertainment. In the past we have featured Aziz Ansari, Gym Class Heroes, Flo-Rida, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Birbiglia and many more.
There are a few ways to get more involved with Colossus. First, join the concerts committee and/or the mainstage committee! Attending the concerts and mainstage meetings will ensure you are directly apart of planning, organizing and volunteering for Colossus. Secondly, be a part of our Genboard! Genboard members are given the first opportunity to sign up for volunteer positions. The more involved you are in genboard and committees, the more likely you are to be chosen to help volunteer! Thirdly, ((dop)) asks a select group of students involved in a range of Loyola’s departments and organizations to be the voice of the student population. If you would like to be considered for a position on this Advisory Board, send your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. Finally, make sure to follow us on all our social media platforms. We try our best to listen to the student body and what you all want.. we ask opinions through polls, do giveaways of tickets and of course share pictures of the most current cardboard cutout. Feel free to message us with opinions on who you want for Colossus! Go crazy! But not too crazy… we would all love Beyonce, but we can’t work miracles.
