ADVOCACY OF NEWLY ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF LOWER EXTREMITIES
A.N.K.L.E is an Ortho-Podiatric Group determined to spread knowledge and understanding of lower extremities and ailments.
It is the first group at Loyola University Chicago with a focus in Podiatry.
Podiatry is a field that specializes in the medical and surgical care of the foot and ankle. This includes problems ranging from dermatological skin conditions to structural bone deformities as well as complications from other medical conditions (i.e. diabetes) .
Goals of A.N.K.L.E:
- To spread knowledge of the vast array of illnesses that occur in lower areas of the body
- To make the students and faculty of Loyola University Chicago more aware of the field of podiatry and its various fruit, as well as the role of podiatry in their daily lives
- To increase knowledge of preventive Podiatric care
- With the creation of this club, we can help to increase networking among future podiatrists, helping the push towards larger group practices rather than individual practices.
This group is also open to students not interested in the Podiatric field as we encourage multi-disciplinary interactions.
