Student Organization Awards
The Department of Student Activities & Greek Affairs (SAGA) in conjunction with the Campus Activities Network (CAN) will host the first annual Student Organization Awards (SOAs) during the Weekend of Excellence. Nominations are now OPEN! To nominate your student organization for a Student Organization Award, click HERE! The SOAs will take place on April 10, 2014 in Damen Student Center MPR beginning at 6:00pm. This initiative is intended to provide further recognition and support to our Registered Student Organizations (RSO) for the many programs and community engagement initiatives that they host annually. Additionally, the award ceremony aims to reward student organization advisors who show dedicated interest in the growth and development of their respective student organization.
But wait…there’s more! During the ceremony, special interest/hobby and Cultural focused student groups will also have the opportunity to showcase their talents and perform throughout the night to help perpetuate this event as being a vehicle for student organization engagement. Complimentary Loyola themed ‘mocktails’ and heavy hors devours will be served to attendees! All award recipients will be voted on by the CAN E-Board through self-selected nominations from the RSO community. Nominations will close on February 28th, 2014 so nominate your organization and/or your Advisor TODAY! For student organizations to attend, you must RSVP!
